Setup Rocketship in Autotask Dashboard

This article describes how to create a full-screen dashboard in Autotask for the Rocketship WorkBoard.

When complete, your team will have access to the Rocketship WorkBoard as a full dashboard inside of Autotask, as shown in the example below:

Create Shared Tab
Login to Autotask as an Admin
  1. Access Manage Shared Tab: From the top navigation menu, go to Dashboard, then click on Manage Shared Tabs.
  2. Click Manage Shared Tabs
  3. Create a New Tab > Click on New Tab.
    Enter a descriptive name for your new tab (Set Tab Name = Rocketship WorkBoard).
  4. Publish the Tab:
    After creating the tab, find the "publish" bar (or icon) to the right of the tab name.
Add Rocketship Widget to Shared Tab
You now have a “blank slate” Dash​​​​​board. You will see an “Add Widget”.
  1. Click on the + Add Widget
  2. Click “Choose an integration vendor widget from the widget library”
  3. Click Next
  4. Click “Rocketship WorkBoard”
  5. Click Next
  6. In the Layout/Size, choose the last option that is 4 arrows pointing outward!
  7. Click Finish

Share Tab

Finally, let’s share the new Tab with your team.

  1. Access Manage Shared Tab: From the top navigation menu, go to Dashboard, then click on Manage Shared Tabs. 
  2. Hover on the hamburger menu for “Rocketship WorkBoard” and click Publish
  3. Click on Departments (you can publish via Security Levels, Departments, or directly to Resources; in this example, we will use Departments)
  4. Share with all Departments listed
  5. Click the Back Arrow next to the Publish Tab
